"If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not so costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no chance of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." --- Winston Churchill

Oh geeeeeez. fake death brings friends together, huh?

As for my drama? It was LAST YEAR. The problem with 'some' young women is that they a: don't understand sometimes that whatever's got them in a tizzy isn't That Bad, and b: overreact, hyperventilate, work each other into a tizzy, and then just bounce off the walls looking for a place to land. That's why there's drama with me today. Poor girl can't let go. It wasn't me that hurt her, either.

I admit I get drawn into it, but not like I used to. It's more a 'poke it with a stick and see what it does' kind of thing. I love it. They're so predictable. Like...throwing a stone in a pond *evil grin*

But truly, it's so 2004 ;)

Hah! I actually know completely what you mean... I had a small issue which led me to ban four or five journals from my own and any communities I ran about a year ago. (Heaven forbid, I had removed someone from my flist because their constant ED talk drove me up a wall as a former bulimic. It became a huge "You're persecuting me!" drama. Oy.)

Sometimes the only solution is banning all their incarnations and biding your time. I think eventually without stimulation they lose interest. Ironically that's the approach I'm taking to a similar drama blowup going on right now on a message board I belong to, heh. I used to get more involved, firing back messages, getting myself upset, but yeah... in perspective to the rest of life it means so little. I'd love to have the free time of some of these people...

I figure, if they're going to provoke me on purpose...they should never be surprised of the result. It should be automatic beatdown. It's like training a small child. :)

I realize this isn't the 'high road', but I've taken the high road...you just come out the other side alone. Everyone loves the low road *laugh*

That IS my goal for this year though. Taking the high road more often.

Well, see the problem with the high road is that the low road is *so* low sometimes that the person down there can't see you on the high road and just assumes you're behind them somewhere on the low road. It's much more satisfying sometimes to be on the low road, so you can run them off the road and over the guardrail. Not that I've ever done anything like that... 0:)

Of course. No decent person would ever do that to someone who might, allegedly, deserve it!

May I be added? I was reading your info page, I look up to you. I don't think I could have 8 kids and do everythign that you do! Also, I am a DDR freak too. It is so much fun and does help you lose weight! My son loves to watch me play. lol. What level are you at? I play on standard. Have your ever played ITG(In The Groove) It's like DDR but it has more choices and things to choose from. I like it better than DDR sometimes.

oh, I got your LJ name from AMW. I am taz3.

Wow... I just read your entire website, and I'm totally in awe of your strength and perseverance. I came over to your LJ after reading some smart-ass comment you made, thinking, "She's funny... I should 'friend' her." And reading through your info, I was laughing and thinking, "Yep, I like her. She hates Bush as much as I do... she's interested in the same kind of stuff I'm interested in... she's painfully honest... she's a smart-ass."

Then... I clicked over to your website. *O*M*G*... grrrrrl. Your story broke my heart. I don't know how a mama can even put one foot in front of the other every day after going through what you've been through.

Even if you don't 'friend' me back, that's OK... I know this will sound trite, but I feel richer for having read your story. I wish you peace... and, someday, a Happy Ending. You will be in my thoughts.

added. You were also added to the midwifery and the militant breastfeeders filter. Don't mind my LJ lately. We married the same man...

Hey, isn't that what LJ's are for? Well, at least one of the many facets of LJ's? :-) I plan to lay down some serious bitchin' in mine over the next few months! LOL.

I'm adding you...we have a few things in common, I think. =)

I see that two of your "disinterests" are people on my friend's list, but for what it's worth, one of those people and my closest friend (in real life) dislike each other and have managed to remain drama free in my journal. Ah, so nice. =)

At any rate, I hope you add me back! :)

LOL you won't be the first person we're mutually friended to. I'm a big girl. I don't start trouble unless necessary, and I tend to haul it kicking and screaming into a semi public forum so others can witness the humiliation :)

Saw your info yesterday, considered adding you but didn't want to be all 'OMG I SAW YOU ON SOMEONE'S JOURNAL AND WE TALKED 5 MINUTES BUT YOU'RE OMG SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO KEWL FRNDZ K?????PLZZZZZZZ!' /smirk

hehehe!

Thanks for making me laugh out loud when I'm all alone.

Guess that's better than someone being here and looking at me like I was a nutcase. :P

I have to admit there are times that tranq gun sounds splendid. :P
