They seem to be a little better than CPS, though not much. My big issue with them was that they visited automatically due to my young age (20, not even that young) at the birth of my first child, usually they visit all young moms once automatically and then leave them alone. Well, me they didn't leave alone. When I asked the worker point blank why they kept coming, as my daughter was well taken care of and my home was very clean, she took it upon herself to diagnose me with post partum depression (despite NO medical credentials) and had me take a written test to screen for it, after which I was put on medication. My first child is now almost two, and my husband and I just had a second child, and they still won't leave me alone. They've even made me hand my daughter over to my parents to care for for months at a time. Even if someone has PPD, if they are handling it just fine, which I was, CAS should leave them alone, but no, two years later they still use it against me. I'm sure it helps that both my kids are healthy caucasian infants, just the type most adoptive parents are looking for. Do I sound bitter? I am. Anyways, that why I wanted to friend you....
