"If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not so costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no chance of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." --- Winston Churchill

Thank you.

Our story can seem confusing when people don't understand how the system works, but I personally enjoyed the 'how the hell did she convince otherwise intelligent women...' Truth has that effect on people I suppose. I've never denied someone who's asked, and some people have been downright rude about it.

Refusing to deny your children comes with a price. I have to tell people where they are. If I wasn't prepared to face the consequences of that, I wouldn't be fit to be their mother anyway.

=)
you shouldn't have to defend yourself to anyone, ever ... especially if they aren't directly involved in your life.

and especially know now who [livejournal.com profile] on_a_hill really is ... i can't believe she would bring this to a drama community. i have to admit, that in the past i though you were a bit of a drama whore =( but reading comments in P_D and stuff now you've got to be one of the strongest women i've ever seen !

i don't understand how the system works, and im sure i never will either, but it seems totally unfair (as most government systems are) and i really wish i could help !

eh, I can be known to throw down from time to time when it comes to drama, but I always choose my battles. I'm not in it for the drama. If I have to step in, someone has seriously pissed me off because most of the time I really don't care. It's your kid, screw it up how you want. I can't stop you. I'm not going to call the net-police. I don't really care.

I can, however, throw down with the best of em ;) I just typically have better shit to do like take care of kids, or things associated with kids, or work, or do my homework. *shrug*

I hear all the time that I'm strong. I've been emo lately, particularly with Ashleigh passing away, but you just do the best you can and hope it's enough. Though Ashleigh dying was very painful, the way her funeral was handled brought people together and healed broken hearts. They gave us our daughter in the only way that they could, and she is ours forever.
